PHILOSOPHY:
With today's exponential increases in technological development and resulting globalization of communication and commerce, competition for consumer attention is greater than ever. Thus, there is an ever-expanding need for quality graphic design materials.
As a website developer, I recognize the need for effective, clear, attractive, readable and easily navigable sites with flexibility for growth.
As a fine artist, I apply the same principles to electronic and print media as I do to painting, sculpture and mixed-media:
Composition
Strong use of color, texture and shape
Raw creativity
Strong statement
As a graphic designer I strive for beauty, simplicity, functionality and consistency. My designs are known for their eye-catching originality. Each site I have created is stylistically diverse to reflect client input and style, resulting in a final product that accurately and aesthetically represents them in the global village.

INTERESTS:
Native American culture
I have provided a significant electronic communications forum for the Native American community which reflects my interest in this heritage.
Use of the arts in education and promotion
Website design in general reflects my fascination with blending the arts, effective communication and organization of information. I see websites as a strong educational tool and immediate source of information. While I am also a painter and sculptor, I have chosen graphic design as a living because it enables me to create in a medium that is used on a daily basis.
Broad personal interests in environmental education and the great outdoors
On the broader level, I have taught California history and geography in a special dramatic game-show format and taught and designed various natural history and science courses designed by me.
I have a strong interest in historic architecture, music, conservation, native plant propagation and landscape design, audio field recording of natural sounds and collecting (minerals, insects, shells, Native American arts). My recreational time is best spent outdoors hiking, mountain biking, bouldering or swimming in freshwater lakes and streams. Alot of the time I just enjoy sitting, looking and listening in wild places. I am also known for my great love of trains - both big and small!
